EXPRESSING OUR APPRECIATION

The NOPBC offers a special thank you to Amy Porterfield of SAAVI Services for the Blind who has worked tirelessly over the past months to provide fun and creative activities for our youth at this year’s convention. We appreciate building partnerships with those who believe that you can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

Of course, the NOPBC conference would not be possible without the collective power of the NOPBC Board! These volunteers—Carla Keirns, Cassandra/Cassie McKinney, Casey West Robertson, Carol Castellano, Sandra Oliver, Jackie Anderson, Amira Assad-Lucas, Cindy Champagne, Emily Gindlesperger, Jeanette Jones, Sarah Kassim, Maura Kutnyak, Tabby Mitchell, Ashleigh Moon, president emerita Barbara Cheadle, and our assistant Serena Cucco, along with former board members Carlton Walker, Penny Duffy, and Melissa Riccobono who came out of retirement to help us—have spent hundreds of hours planning this conference, all while still caring for their families and working at their jobs. They truly live their commitment to helping other families, changing what it means to be blind, and enabling our children to live the lives they want!

And a BIG THANK YOU to APH for sponsoring our 40th Anniversary Celebration!
